Jefferson A. Reuben
I was born in the village of Birch Grove, St. Andrew’s, Grenada. I attended the Birch Grove primary School, from there I went on to the St. John’s Christian Secondary School. It was there in one of the lunchtime services conducted by one of the teachers, in the school’s chapel that the Lord Spoke to my heart. I went home that evening knelt by my bedside and gave my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. From there on my moulding as a Christian began. It was not always easy in school to stand up among friends as a Christian, but God gave me the strength to stand.
A few years after leaving school, I began teaching at the St. Andrew’s Methodist School and continued for a period of two and a half years. It was an interesting and learning experience.
I later migrated to the USA, where I spent approximately five years. Currently I am employed with Republic Bank Grenada Limited.
I am now worshipping with Praise and Deliverance Sanctuary International, at Mt. Parnassus, St. George where Pastor Charles Douglas is the senior Pastor. I am one of the ordained ministers in that assembly. I am also the manager of “Shekinah Ministeries,”our worship group, whose sole purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, dance and the spoken word.
God has blessed me with a lovely wife, Frances Reuben. Together we have a four-year old son named Enoch. My wife is also part of Shekinah Ministeries, where she is one of the worship leaders.
I am now attending the IPA Bible Institute where I am a first year student, I must say that the first semester was very challenging having to get the assignments done within the prescribe time and finding time to study. But by the help of almighty GOD I know I will make it through the two years.
Despite the challenges, the courses are very informative and practical. I am inspired by what I have learnt so far, and believe that formal training is of fundamental importance in any area one is operating. (We must not overlooked the fact that Jesus took the disciples and trained them before he send them out.)
